Drummer Michael McMeel has worn many hats throughout his career. He’s been a studio musician, working with artists such as with Carl Carlton, Freda Payne and Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids. He’s toured the world as a member of the iconic band Three Dog Night. He’s also acted in television shows and directed commercials, plays and corporate videos. Looking at his life, one could say that Michael has quite the collection of accomplishments.
Yet there’s another hat that Michael McMeel wears. He’s the creator of Inner City Slickers, a program that builds self-esteem, confidence and character in the lives of marginalized inner city children. Using values epitomized by the cowboys of the Old West, Mr. McMeel is teaching these kids how to rise above their circumstances and achieve success.
