Daniel Glass is a saint—
a Community Saint!
Daniel Glass has done it all in the world of Retro Swing music, the style that combines the sounds of the 1940’s with the punch-in-the-gut attitude of today. He’s performed it in just about every place on the planet with the Royal Crown Revue and with the Brian Setzer Orchestra. He’s written about it in his books and in numerous articles. He’s even showcased it in his clinics which have been held all over the world.
Daniel has learned that the music that he plays has a rich history that cannot be separated from the evolution of the drum set. His calling—to preserve this history and to educate people about it—has led him to produce the DVD sets, The Century Project and Traps. As Daniel puts it, both cover “one hundred years of American music from behind the drums!”
There’s a lot of love, time and effort that went into this undertaking. Let Daniel tell you about it in this month’s Community Saints interview.
